2022 Municipal Election results


The Senior Elections Officer has notified that the results of the Oct. 26, 2022 election are official. The results are below.



Voting dates and locations:

RM of Lac du Bonnet Election day voting:

Date: Wednesday, October 26th
Location: Lac du Bonnet Legion, 45 McArthur Ave.
Time: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
 
RM of Lac du Bonnet advance polls: (subject to change)

Date: Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022
Location: RM of Lac du Bonnet office
Time: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Date: Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022
Location: Lac du Bonnet Legion, 45 McArthur Ave.
Time: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Date: Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022
Location: RM of Lac du Bonnet office
Time: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Who can vote?
 
Eligibility of resident (primary residence):
1. A Canadian citizen and 18 years of age as of October 26, 2022
2. A resident of the municipality/town on Election Day, and has been so for at least 6 months before Election Day (April 26, 2022)
 
Eligibility on non-resident:
1. A Canadian citizen and 18 years of age as of October 26, 2022
2. Is a registered owner (name on land title) of land in the municipality/town on Election Day, and has been so for at least 6 month before election day (April 24, 2018)
3. A maximum of two non-resident voters per property are permitted to vote in a municipal election.  In order to be included on the voters list, each voter must obtain written consent from a majority of the registered landowners, and file with the SEO.  If the SEO does not receive the consent form from a non-resident voter that owns property with more than two other property owners, the voter must not be included on the voters list. (Form #3)
 
Eligibility of Company Owned Property:
If the registered owner of a property is only listed as a company, the owner of the company is not eligible to vote, unless the owner is a permanent resident of the municipality/town.
