We know there is significant interest in taking these courses, and will announce dates and open registration for them once restrictions change. We encourage you to stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates. We will post once we are able to offer them once again. In the meantime, our recreation department continues to offer many virtual program options and we encourage you to take advantage of many of the free programs currently offered.

Please read the statement from the Province below for further information.

"At this time, we can confirm that businesses or organizations that operate day camps or similar recreational programming are required to be closed to the public. Community centres and other businesses closed to public can make their facilities available for workplace training but only if the training is essential in nature (e.g., First Aid, critical recertification, etc.) and would be required to limit occupancy to 50% of instructional space occupancy or maximum 25 persons, whichever is lower.

At this time we can confirm that only critical employment-related training which is absolutely necessary should be conducted in-person. For example, police safety training, CPR, First Aid and critical skills training required for the continued operation of a business.

Babysitting courses and firearms safety training would not be considered critical employment-related training.  While firearms courses cannot be open to the general public, they may be offered if required for the operation of any business which is permitted to be open at this time."

Thank you for your understanding and patience. Safety of our participants and staff are the top priority. You can review a comprehensive outline of our safety precautions in place during programming under the "Program Policy" tab.
